The Wiseman Welly Walk has been organised to raise funds for Severn Hospice and Image on Food are helping to swell the proceeds by donating their unique hand decorated gingerbread biscuits to the event.
Market Drayton is said to be the traditional ‘home’ of gingerbread and has been baked in the area for over 200 years, after Market Drayton’s most famous resident, Robert Clive or ‘Clive of India’ bought ginger back from his crusades. Image on Food who have been baking gingerbread in the town since 1987 are carrying on the town’s tradition using their own secret recipe and will be represented at the event with a number of staff.
Gemma Hopcroft, (Sales & Marketing Executive) says: “The whole town is talking about the Wiseman Welly Walk and as a local employer we felt it was important for us to support the event and the local hospice and what better way to do that than to provide participants with a tasty gingerbread biscuit as a well deserved treat.
“Many of us at Image on Food are keen supporters of the Hospice and the Wiseman Welly Walk is a great way for us to do that bit more. Staff have been training for the walk in their breaks and after work, we’re all really excited and are looking forward to the day and be it rain or shine our feet will be dry thanks to our wellies!”
Aimed at groups and families, the Wiseman Welly Walk takes place on Sunday 16th October in the unique 18th Century Follies set within the grounds of
Participants can take part wearing Wiseman’s famous cow print wellies, which are available as part of the £15 entry fee for adults or £10 for children. Group entries are available too.

Image on Food is proud to annouce that after a period of product development we will now be producing all of our Year round gingerbread novelties in natural colours. The product lines that are changing into natural colours are as follows:
Deluxe Farm - Cow, Sheep and Pig
Assorted Zoo Animals - Lion, Monkey and Elephant
Celebration Parcel Pink
Celebration Parcel Blue
Celebration Block Heart
Celebration Mini Hearts
Celebration Pink Teddy
Celebration Blue Teddy
Our Classic Farm range, Traditional Man, Celebration Mini Girls and Celebration Mini Boys are already iced in natural colours so there will be no change to these products. Unfortunately, our Help for Heroes biscuits are printed in edible ink using a technology that does not support natural colours at the present time so for now these will still use synthetic colours.
We are extremely happy with the work that has been done to find natural colour alternatives to our synthetic colours and feel that all of our products now iced in natural look as close to their designs as when they were iced using synthetic colours.
If you would like any further information on our natural coloured products please do not hesitate to contact us.
At Image on Food we love to make children smile which is why when we were contacted to donate cookies to an event supporting the Kiss it Better appeal we didn't hesitate to roll up our sleeves and provide delicious heart cookies. Kiss it Better is a national appeal launched by Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity to raise money to fund research into the causes and treatment of childhood cancer, one of the biggest diseases affecting children today. Our delicious cookies went down extremely well even Leon Jackson, the X-Factor 2007 winner loved them.

Image on Food's favourite holiday of the year - National Gingerbread Day is nearly upon us! We will be celebrating here with cinnamon tea and ginger cookies but if you wanted to celebrate at home why not try the following:
Step 1
Start National Gingerbread Day with pancakes or fresh fruit served with homemade gingerbread syrup. To make the syrup, heat 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, a 4-inch piece of diced fresh ginger and your favorite gingerbread spices to taste, such as cinnamon, cloves, vanilla, nutmeg and allspice. Simmer for about 10 minutes until the syrup is thick. It thickens further after you remove it from the heat.
Step 2
Hasten an unmarried female friend's wedding by giving her a gingerbread \"husband\" to eat on National Gingerbread Day. English village women used to eat gingerbread husbands at fairs to ensure that they would meet and marry their true loves.
Step 3
Tell the story \"The Gingerbread Man\" or \"Hansel and Gretel\" to a child in your life on National Gingerbread Day. Serve gingerbread refreshments during the story to fully celebrate the day.
Step 4
Mix up a gingerbread martini by shaking or stirring ½ oz. of your homemade ginger syrup with 2 oz. vodka and ice. Strain into a martini glass. Serve with a freshly shaved piece of ginger. Add a cinnamon stick if you're feeling festive.

At Image on Food we love to help where ever we can which is why on October 31st we supported the Wear it pink campaign. Wear it pink is the biggest and best pink day during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year, Breast Cancer Campaign dared everyone in the UK to wear an item of pink on Friday 31 October and donate £2 each to the charity to help beat breast cancer. Not only did each member of staff donate £2 each, Image on Food doubled the money raised to help support this very deserving charity.
At Image on Food we believe in working with our local community and we feel that one of the most important groups of people in our local community is our teachers. This is why we offered a professional development opportunity day for teachers to give them an insight into manufacturing processes and new product development. The day was very well attended with teachers from across the county and we had lots of positive feedback, including this statement from one of the teachers:
\"Dear Sarah and Tim, Just a quick message before writing to you formally to thank you so much for arranging such an excellent day for us on Friday. The information you provided was invaluable for the teachers (and ultimately their colleagues and students) and we are really grateful to you for spending so much time with us. I hope you were able to gain some benefits from the experience too. I for one will be passing on your marketing material to friends who are planning a marriage! Wishing you both and the company all the very best in the future.\"
After supplying the top 13 Waitrose stores in London we decided we couldn't deprive the world from our celebration gingerbread men any longer! Our celebration mini boys and girls can now be found in over 100 Waitrose stores across the country, we hope you like them as much as we do!
Our mischievous gingerbread novelties get everywhere but even we were surprised when they showed up with Cameron Diaz in the popular romantic comedy \"The Holiday\". Our Christmas gingerbread novelties can be seen in the scene where Cameron Diaz visits the local shop in order to stock up on food and drink for the cottage she is in as part of a house exchange program with Kate Winslet.
